Do you notice the difference in the plants from photo 1 to photo 2?

I had to google the damage to figure out what might be causing it. After some researching, it became apparent that we had tomato horn worms. So I went back out to the garden to hunt them down.
Isn't it amazing how close in colour to the tomato stems they are? They don't move very quickly either so it was really hard to find them.
I won't include any of the 'after' photos. They were disturbing. I guess I'm like a momma bear with her cubs when it comes to those tomato plants so I hope you'll forgive me.

That is one ugly looking worm. Too bad about your tomatoes... is it too late to save the plants?
OH NO!!! Those nasty little critters! I've got worms on some of my flowers now too and I'd like to wring their little necks.
Thank you very much for not showing 'after' photos. It gave me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. :o[
Oh, no!!! I am so sorry. I hate bugs! Just kidding some are really useful, like the ones that eat the ones I hate! If it makes you feel any better I had a gofer/mole eating my raspberry roots. I was so mad. I hope your tomatoes live!
what a sad day for you! :(
I tried growing tomatoes once and they got destroyed by all sorts of nasty critters. Now I stick to herbs.
Good luck with yours.
Ewwww! They are nasty. I hope you were able to save the tomatoes.
Those are disgusting. Do you think you got rid of all of them? I'm heartbroken about your tomatoes...sure hope you were able to salvage some of them.
